1) Thinly slice 5 Vidalia Onions (a mandoline makes this easy). Separate the rings and cover with 2 cups water, 1 cup white vinegar, and 1 cup of white sugar that has been well mixed and dissolved. Invert a plate over the mix and refrigerate at least 12 hours or overnight. 2) Drain onions. Mix in 1/2 cup mayonaise, 1 tsp celery salt, 1/2 tsp dill seed. Refrigerate. | |
